That's just the way these things go. The most talented artists here are generally too busy with their own projects to like and follow other talented artists (although it is still amazing when, say, Stepford follows your account!), so most of your followers are just going to be people who only set up a Newgrounds account for the sole purpose of being notified whenever their favorite artist uploads. Same goes for YouTube, Instagram, DeviantArt, etc.
